November 25, 2023–First Art Crawl in the Old West End

We launched the first Art Crawl in Danville, Va. The idea that rooted during a group of friends’ conversation about hopes for an artistic Danville—to have a community saturated with creativity, to showcase the talent around us, to be inspiring and to be inspired.

Multiple homeowners in the Old West End, Five Forks area have artistic backgrounds, or are skilled artisans and craftsman. Together—the vision began as art work displayed in the middle of fine architectural homes and historic restoration within walking distance of each other.

The first event was a success. We had multiple artists participate, local as well as traveling artists. Many homeowners and art organizations also participated. Many Danville residents came to see what the buzz was about.

Participating Venues:

Swanson Studio (behind DMFAH), River District Artisans (411 Main St), 803 Main St, 225 Jefferson Ave, 226 Jefferson Ave, 729 Loyal St, 879 Pine St, 871 Pine St., 855 Pine St, 135 Sutherlin Ave
